MY BABYSITTING POLICIES, PROCEDURES & DAY CARE HOME RULES:
(Last Revised December 16, 2011)
THANKS for you're complete cooperation and understanding. MANY of the DaYCaRe
Rules & Policies are common sence but due to past bad expiriences they MUST be stated for clarification.
(You'll find the majority of our Policies & Proceedures explained in detail not only
on this page but also through out this entire website. After enrollment, if you'd like a written copy of all
Policies & Proceedures for you to keep for your own records just ask and I'll be happy to make you a copy. If you decide to enroll your child in our DayCare, a contract involving these Policies & Proceedures
will need to be agreed upon and signed by parents/guardians, so please be sure to read over EVERYTHING. )
BUS STOP & BUS RIDING RULES
REVISED 9/14/2018
Getting to & from School: Your kids can ride the bus to and from school with my kids. I usually do not provide rides,
but if your child participates in extra curricular activities (school sports, scouts, after school program, ect) and you have
no other way to transport them, I can try to help you arrange something.
Weather permitting the kids always walk to and from the bus stop (at the end of our lane) each Day. Occasionally I walk
with them, otherwise they are supervised by my older kids when for this short walk. When the weather is nasty transportation
to &/or from the bus stop will be provided.
When riding the Bus I ask that your children PLEASE follow these DaYCaRe rules: (In addition to my rules PLEASE See your
child's Student Handbook for school rules & misconduct on the bus.)
PLEASE go over ALL these Bus Stop & Bus Riding Rules with your child (children) and make sure they understand the
importance of following ALL of them AND respecting my bus helpers!
FIRST of all ~ SAFETY is our #1 Priority! I feel responsible for your kids safety from the time they leave my house until
they step off the bus and enter the school! Just because you and I can not see them is no reason for them to misbehave. If
they are behaving badly (especially in a way that could hurt someone) it not only reflects back on me and my Daycare in a
negative light, it also looks bad for you as their parents. PLEASE make sure your child knows I expect only the VERY BEST
MANNERS from them at all times when riding the Bus REGUARDLESS of how the other students around them may be acting!
MY RULES: Walking to & from the Bus Stop ~ My Kids are in charge of getting everyone to & from safely!
1.) Be CAREFUL! Walk straight to the Bus Stop or Daycare! NO stopping anywhere! Watch for speeding cars!
2.) Line up together – ALL ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE LANE! {In the grass if possible and not in the lane so that
cars can pass if needed} Watch out for each other & help keep each other SAFE!
3.) In the AM Line up BEHIND the asphalt until the bus has come to a complete stop! DO NOT PASS THE ASPHALT AND DO NOT
STAND/WAIT BY THE BUSHES OR POWER POLE NO MATTER WHO ELSE IS WAITING THERE! That is too close to the road and an extremely
dangerous place to be!
4.) In the PM Hurry across the Highway! NO STOPPING! NO CHECKING THE MAIL! NO RUNNING BACK! Get out of the road, away
from the traffic and safely into our lane ASAP! SERENITI & ZANE ARE TO HELP THE LITTLE ONES OUT OF THE ROAD IF NEEDED,
REGARDLESS OF WHO HELPED THEM GET OFF THE BUS! {Let them walk by themselves if possible. DO NOT carry anyone across the road
unless absolutely needed!
5.) Sereniti and Zane should do a head check once everyone is off the bus & in the lane to make sure no one was left
behind. They are in charge of getting the Pre-K & Kindergarten kids to the daycare safely!
6.) There should be absolutely NO SCREAMING, NO FIGHTING, NO PUSHING, NO SHOVING, NO TRIPPING, NO MAKING FUN of ANYONE
for ANY REASON @ ANY TIME! BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER! IF YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING NICE THEN DO NOT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!
WHILE RIDING THE BUS
1.) PLEASE try to stay SEATED while the bus is still moving, EVEN if everyone else is standing!
2.) Be kind to each other & everyone else on the bus ~ Use your very best manners @ all times!
3.) Do not say or do anything to anyone that you would not want said or done to you!
PLEASE NOTE: Riding the bus to and from school is a privilege and can be taken away! IF we have any problems with bus
conduct, manners or following my rules I will start driving the Daycare kids to and from school each day with an additional
charge billed to each parent for transportation. THANK YOU!

SPECIAL HELPER OF THE DAY
Each day I have a different Special Helper. Each Child gets a name magnet put on the side of my
desk/file cabnet in the DaYCaRe as soon as they are enrolled. Whose ever name is posted under the special helper sign
is the helper for the day. They get to be the leader and help fix lunch, snacks ect. Each Child will get to help plan a meal
with their favorite foods.
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus."
